CSRXP APPLAUDS MOMENTUM TOWARD HOLDING BIG PHARMA ACCOUNTABLE, LOWERING DRUG PRICES

Congress Should Swiftly Advance Solutions to Deliver Relief for Millions of Americans Hurt By Brand Name Drug Companies’ Egregious Practices

Washington, D.C. – The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing (CSRxP) released a statement Thursday reacting to reports Congressional leaders will introduce a revised reconciliation package with a significant focus on prescription drug prices.

“CSRxP applauds the momentum to address out-of-control prescription drug prices and hold Big Pharma accountable,” said CSRxP executive director Lauren Aronson. “The millions of Americans facing financial uncertainty affording their medications have waited too long for action in Washington and are counting on Congress to finally deliver on repeated promises to lower drug prices by cracking down on brand name drug companies’ egregious price-gouging. This is a real opportunity for market-based solutions to deliver more choices, more competition, and lower prices.”
