CSRXP: WHITE HOUSE FRAMEWORK FAILS ON PROMISE TO LOWER DRUG PRICES

Framework Fails to Hold Big Pharma Accountable and Lower Drug Prices for the American People

Washington, D.C. – The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing (CSRxP) released a statement today in response to the release of a framework from President Biden for the Build Back Better Act.

“This framework fails to deliver on repeated promises to the American people to lower prescription drug prices,” said CSRxP executive director Lauren Aronson. “CSRxP is outraged that the White House and Congressional Democrats dropped solutions with broad-based support that would deliver relief for Americans struggling with out-of-control drug prices.”

“Congress must step up and lead at this historic moment to hold Big Pharma accountable,” Aronson continued. “Voters are watching to see which Members of Congress have the courage to stand up to Big Pharma and whether lawmakers will turn promises made on prescription drug prices into promises kept.”
