CSRxP Encourages House Lawmakers To Advance Bipartisan Drug Pricing Legislation

Washington, D.C. – The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing (CSRxP) today released a statement ahead of a bill markup in the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce on a number of bipartisan drug pricing measures:

“We applaud committee leaders in Congress who continue to focus on meaningfully addressing the crisis of rising prescription drug prices,” said executive director Lauren Aronson.  “The CREATES Act, Purple Book Continuity Act of 2019 and Orange Book Transparency Act of 2019 are bipartisan, market-based solutions that will boost competition and help lower prices.  CSRxP encourages members of the committee to advance these bills that mark an important first step toward delivering much-needed relief for millions of patients.”

“The bipartisan momentum to take action on drug prices is greater than ever before and we encourage Members of the Energy and Commerce Committee to keep the momentum going on these important solutions,” Aronson added.
