CSRXP APPLAUDS INCLUSION OF PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICING SOLUTIONS IN LATEST FRAMEWORK

Congress Should Reject Pharma-backed Proposals That Would Hike Health Care Premiums, Advance Solutions to Deliver Real Rx Relief for the American People

Washington, D.C. – The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing (CSRxP) released a statement Tuesday reacting to the release of a drug pricing compromise package to be included in the Build Back Better Act.

“CSRxP looks forward to reviewing the final details of the compromise package but applauds the inclusion  of solutions to lower prescription drug prices for the American people,” said CSRxP executive director Lauren Aronson.

“As details and language are finalized, CSRxP encourages lawmakers to focus on advancing solutions that will lower prescription drug prices by holding Big Pharma accountable and reject pharma-backed proposals, like a ban on rebates, that would hike seniors’ premiums and boost drug companies’ profits,” Aronson continued. “American voters are watching closely to see whether policymakers in Washington will seize this unprecedented opportunity to deliver on repeated promises to lower drug prices and hold Big Pharma accountable.”
