Re: “Allergy sufferers caught between EpiPen price hike, health plan crunch,” July 13 news story.
As someone who has had a severe nut allergy my whole life, your article on the price hike for EpiPens touches home. In cases when I need an EpiPen, I need it. It is a drug that I rely on in emergency situations, and it is not fair that the price of this prescription has become so high — not fair to me and the numerous others of all ages who suffer from allergies. Right now I’m thinking of all the parents who need to have this drug on hand for the safety of their children. The price of an EpiPen has always been high, but with it now even higher, I see this putting families in a financial rut.
I hope in this election season that candidates will address the issue of high prescription drug prices that affect me and many other Coloradans.
