The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing released the following statement from spokesman Will Holley regarding a hearing in front of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health:
“We must ‘bring down the artificially high price of drugs and bring them down immediately.’ That’s what the President said in his address to Congress – and the American people agree.
“We are encouraged that lawmakers are addressing out-of-control prescription drug prices. We look forward to further hearings that focus on bipartisan solutions to address this crisis, such as the FAST and CREATES Acts, which would speed the release of affordable generics by curbing misuse of FDA REMS patient safety programs. We urge the Committee to closely examine and act on these important, bipartisan solutions.
“We look forward to working with the Committee, their colleagues in the House and Senate, and the Administration to deliver the lifesaving medications that people need at a price that they can afford.”
